Representatives of the Armenian Association of Developers participated in the working discussion held at the invitation of the interim manager of the "Electric Networks of Armenia" CJSC Romanos Petrosyan, which was also attended by the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, representatives of the Builders' Union of Armenia, as well as the heads of the main directorates of the ENA.
The main topic of the discussion was the decision adopted by the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission, which liberalizes the process of connecting consumption systems with a voltage of 6(10) kV, as well as newly constructed apartment buildings and districts under construction to the distribution network.
The Armenian Association of Developers attaches importance to the adopted decision, considering it as a reform of practical importance for the sector. As a result of the new regulation, developers will have the opportunity to carry out the necessary work with their own funds and resources based on the technical conditions provided by the ENA, which will contribute to the acceleration of processes, more effective management of deadlines and increased predictability of project implementation.
During the meeting, new approaches to providing technical conditions, the procedure for handing over the constructed distribution network to the ENA, as well as issues related to the simplification of administrative procedures and improvement of the investment environment were also discussed.
Representatives of the association noted that continuous professional dialogue and joint work between state bodies, public service organizations and the private sector are of great importance for the development of the sector. Discussions in such a format provide an opportunity to raise existing issues in a timely manner, find practical solutions and form more effective regulations.
