
Among other issues, proposals were discussed to increase the minimum criminal thresholds for alleged crimes of tax evasion, as well as to regulate the process of submitting reports to law enforcement agencies after the completion of the administrative appeal procedure in the tax authority. The proposals are aimed at fully ensuring the taxpayer's right to be heard before submitting a report.
Gurgen Grigoryan emphasized the importance of effective state-private dialogue, welcoming the new approach of the State Revenue Committee to reduce the practice of initiating criminal cases and expand the opportunities for revealing and preventing possible violations through cooperation with economic entities.
